Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 4, 2026

1. Core Policy

Today's Fit is an iPhone app designed around keeping outfit records primarily on the user's device. The operator limits the purposes for handling photos, location data, weather data, and notification-related data as much as possible, and does not unnecessarily transmit data externally or provide it to third parties.

2. Information Collected and Used

  • Photo reference information: used to identify, display, edit, and detect duplicates for photos in the user's library.
  • Photo metadata: capture date, location, image size, and similar data are used to connect outfit records with past temperatures.
  • Manual input: notes, labels, corrected dates, and corrected locations are used to organize and redisplay records.
  • Image editing metadata: crop position, brightness, saturation, contrast, and similar values are stored so edits can be reproduced.
  • Weather data: past temperatures and forecast data are used for outfit reviews and notification decisions.
  • Notification-related data: notification settings, send history, and open history are used to suppress duplicates and control display behavior.
  • Feedback data: comfort feedback such as “too warm” or “too cold” is stored on-device with future improvement in mind.

3. Handling of Photo Data

  • Original photos remain in the user's Photos library and are not sent to or stored on the operator's server.
  • The app stores photo references and metadata such as capture time in the local on-device database, not the photo files themselves.
  • If a photo thumbnail is attached to a notification, it is stored only briefly in temporary on-device storage and is not retained permanently.

4. Location and Weather Data

  • Location data is used to confirm the temperature for the place tied to a photo, show area names, and support record creation.
  • Location data is not used for continuous tracking, advertising, or behavioral targeting.
  • When needed, the app uses rounded latitude/longitude values and a target date to retrieve temperature and forecast information from external weather services.

5. External Transmission and Third-Party Services

  • Open-Meteo API: rounded coordinates, a target date, and required weather queries may be sent to retrieve historical temperature or forecast data.
  • Apple geolocation services: `CLGeocoder` may be used to derive area names from coordinates.
  • Photo files, notes, labels, feedback, and photo reference IDs are not sent to these external services.
  • At this time, the app does not include first-party server transmission, ad SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, or tracking SDKs.

6. Storage Locations and Retention

  • Outfit records, settings, feedback, and notification history are stored mainly in the app's data area on the user's device.
  • Original photos are stored in the Photos library.
  • Forecast data may be stored in local cache files or the app's on-device database.
  • Temporary files used for notification attachments are eligible for deletion once they are no longer needed or after a certain amount of time.

7. User Choices

  • Permissions for photos, camera, location, and notifications can be allowed or denied by the user in iOS settings.
  • If permissions are denied, some app features may become unavailable.
  • Records and settings saved in the app can be removed by the user's own delete actions or by uninstalling the app.

8. Third-Party Sharing and Tracking

Except where required by law, the operator does not sell or provide user information to third parties. The app also does not collect data for tracking users across third-party apps or websites.

9. Policy Changes

This policy may be updated in response to legal changes, new features, or operational changes. If an important change is made, notice will be provided in the app or on this website.
